Is there any way to activate a popup list only if I want it? |

Answer:
You can always use F3 to display a popup list (as long as you are in a field that uses them). To prevent them from appearing "automatically", remove the check next to "Automatic Popup Browser" under Tools/Options.
Tip: When you start a new database, you might want to disable the Popup Browser until your lists have some entries to browse through.
